The tape itself is made up of a stretchy blend of lycra and nylon, compared with that of traditional kinesiology tapes that are primarily made of cotton. These materials allow for a 4-way stretch in all directions instead of only two. Dynamic Tape can also stretch to 200% of its resting length and has many times the resistance and recoil of traditional K-tape products.
